Ron Morgan’s Famous Ahi/Ono Poke (Everyone’s Favorite!)

Ingredients:
  • 1 pound fresh fish (Ahi or Ono, cut into ½” cubes)
  • ½ – ¾ cup soy sauce (start with ½, adjust to taste)
  • ¾ cup chopped green onion
  • 1–2 tablespoons sesame oil (start with 1, adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar


Cooking Directions:

  1. Cut the fish into ½-inch cubes and place in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add ½ cup soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, and 1 tablespoon rice vinegar. Gently toss to coat.
  3. Mix in the chopped green onion. Taste and adjust with more soy sauce or sesame oil if needed.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or up to 4 hours for deeper flavor).
  5. Stir gently before serving.


Serving Suggestions:

  • Over steamed rice 
  • With crispy wonton chips or seaweed salad
  • Garnish with sesame seeds or jalapeños for extra heat
