Important Oil Seal Installation Instructions
BLOCK-4HT-BEARING-KT The bearing pack is lubricated with “Viperlube”. This synthetic oil must be replaced when servicing the seals & bearings. Trapped air must be relieved when installing the second oil seal. After both bearings, one oil seal & oil have been installed. Use a small piece of solid wire, pin or needle to keep part of the seal lips off the shaft to allow air to escape while pressing the seal into place. The wire, pin or needle may then be removed. Make certain whatever is used does not have a sharp edge that could damage the seal lips upon removal.
